Write out a list of your own “must-haves” things you would like in a gym.

2.Take a look at reviews

Do not forget to take a look at reviews on social sites from other gym visitors and members that have visited that particular gym before or are members of that particular gym, to see what others have said about that specific gym and the services they offered.

3.Do gym have Certified fitness trainer:

Gym with certified instructors will help you to improve your fitness level.
Professionals at gym should be certified professional trainer who are well versed on how to demonstrate the correct way to use exercise equipment.
Also should have knowledge of how to deliver exercise classes and develop personal exercise and diet plans.

4. Hours of operation :

When you want to join a gym, find out what is offered at  what time at the gym.
You can ask about when trainers are there and what times the different parts of the gym are open. So you can find which gym suits  your schedule best.

5. Cost:

Know your budget before you start looking for a gym.
It is crucial to know your budget so that you can identify the right place for you and avoid overspending on services. Gyms come in all shapes and sizes.
The cost of a gym depends upon what’s offered, how many facilities they have (machines you may need for certain workouts), fees to use the equipment outside  your membership plan etc.
so read their fees in advance before committing, because some gyms charge by visit rather than per month.

6. Membership restrictions and requirements:

Some gyms will require you to purchase an annual membership, while others offer month-to-month memberships.
This is something that may not be clear at first glance and could impact the overall cost of your gym  experience in a significant way.

7. Amenities like childcare, locker rooms, showers, tanning beds, personal training sessions  etc) :

Don’t forget about amenities like childcare services or personal trainers who will show up at your house before giving an exercise class – these add-ons provide convenience without having to leave home which may lead to more motivation since These are important to consider if you’re the type of person who needs these, or will use them.
The gym should provide these amenities or else it might not be suitable for most people.

8. Location (convenient to home or work?) :

If you want to go to the gym, it is smart if you can find a gym near your home or workplace.
Having a gym near your home or workplace makes it more likely you’ll be able to get in several workouts a week.

9.Equipment availability (free weights vs machines?) :

Oftentimes, a gym will have both free weights and machines.
But which is the best for you?
This really depends on what your fitness goals are — some people do well with weight training while others prefer to use equipment like treadmills or elliptical trainers.
-If you are looking for a gym that specializes in cardio, find out what types of equipment they offer ,good treadmill or elliptical etc.
-If you are looking for a gym that specializes in weight training, find out what types of free weights they offer and how many machines they have.
Make sure there is a variety of things available so everyone can find something they enjoy doing.
